Joel Espiridion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Haedo Lokomotiv's zone, Rahim Sidam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Espiridion came out of the goal and Rahim Sidam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. HORIZZONT's Yuan Ying played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Flor in the 16th minute of play. Ergincan Türköz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Joel Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasım Sahadettin to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, HORIZZONT's Rahim Sidam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 46th minute Ergincan Türköz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Espiridion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Haedo Lokomotiv booed when HORIZZONT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Sahadettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Hilario Jurgi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Espiridion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. HORIZZONT played a much better game than Haedo Lokomotiv and deserved their victory. The Haedo Lokomotiv players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
