The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, C A U's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Kellbom came free, but Feliberto Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the C A U defense, Elliot Kellbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliberto Gonsalvo. The C A U fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliberto Gonsalvo should have stopped the shot. C A U:s Feliberto Gonsalvo showed great skill when he stopped Sten Melberg:s penalty. When Rodolfo Cordarin fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C A U's protests and gave Rodolfo Cordarin a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Cordarin hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Sten Melberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Gonsalvo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Sten Melberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Feliberto Gonsalvo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariasz Poteralski, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Di Röe booed when C A U was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Firmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Sten Melberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Melberg in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Melberg in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliberto Gonsalvo saved C A U from getting behind. Herman Benett kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Melberg made a kick off. When Danilo Osasun fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C A U's protests and gave Danilo Osasun a yellow card for diving instead. Di Röe's Romeo Gologan was substituted for Sten Melberg. A collision led to C A U getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Danilo Osasun hit a great ball. Herman Benett, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. C A U's Ceferino Hever was substituted for Leopoldo Senin. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Gologan in the 59th minute of play. Feliberto Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Gologan, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Romeo Gologan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Di Röe's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Gologan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Di Röe made a substitution. Conny Ronaldo replaced Edu Loss. Di Röe made a substitution. Arnaldo da Fonseca replaced Elliot Kellbom. George Kristiansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kağan Duro's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. With a little luck, C A U's Feliberto Gonsalvo got control of the ball when Romeo Gologan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Gologan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliberto Gonsalvo made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Arnaldo da Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute Kağan Duro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Gologan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Feliberto Gonsalvo made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, C A U's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Gologan came free, but Feliberto Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urban Åkerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 86th minute of play forced C A U's goalkeeper Feliberto Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Kağan Duro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conny Bjursell kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Kağan Duro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the C A U fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kağan Duro couldn't finish the play. Conny Bjursell made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C A U's Candido Firmo. Feliberto Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Gologan in the 96th minute of the match. The C A U fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Di Röe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
