The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zlatko Goričan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. João Carlos Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krakaca Neto in the 5th minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Futuros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Duško Turnšek came free, but João Carlos Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Carlos Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Istok Šabotić in the 7th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Dantas came free, but Lan Šorli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade got control of the ball when Duško Turnšek tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krakaca Neto in the 21st minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Futuros FC from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Arkın Öğüç notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli. Lan Šorli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krakaca Neto in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lan Šorli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Carlos Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Istok Šabotić in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Dantas in the 37th minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Zlatko Goričan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Vicente Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Lan Šorli. HIT Gorica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duško Turnšek to make the kick off. Lan Šorli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arkın Öğüç in the 51st minute. HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save HIT Gorica from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krakaca Neto in the 61st minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Krakaca Neto notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli. Lan Šorli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Futuros FC's Beto Smith was substituted for Vicente Dantas. Futuros FC's Marcos Fernandes was substituted for Arkın Öğüç. Marcos Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lan Šorli made a huge save. Beto Smith received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lan Šorli came out and tried to block the shot, but Beto Smith slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krakaca Neto. HIT Gorica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Krakaca Neto scored to the left of an out of position Lan Šorli, making the score, 0-10. The Futuros FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Futuros FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
