If Christijan Schreuder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christijan Schreuder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Barto Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luis María Guadalupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Guaparo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Sustrai to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 27th minute of play forced Guaparo FC's goalkeeper Barto Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes Guaparo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harm de Freitas who took care of the corner kick. Herbert Hilhorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ur Higuera, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Christijan Schreuder got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Cristiano Saer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaparo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verwachting the free kick. Cristiano Saer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Verwachting had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
