With a little luck, Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms got control of the ball when João Vítor Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Octave Hendrickx in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gavião Kyikatejê's Deilmison Davids. In the 16th minute, Invictus FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Vítor Bittencourt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Invictus FC's Octaaf Van der Meiren got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Gavião Kyikatejê's João Vítor Bittencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when Gavião Kyikatejê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe McColman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Sean Mallecots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Mallecots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sitthachat Jampeehom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 3-0 when João Vítor Bittencourt sped through Invictus FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eddy Stoorms. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Mallecots, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sean Mallecots made a kick off. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Sean Mallecots sent off a good shot on target. In the 54thth minute of the game João Vítor Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that João Vítor Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eddy Stoorms was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. When Sean Mallecots came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Mallecots couldn't finish the play. João Vítor Bittencourt took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddy Stoorms. Eddy Stoorms dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Sean Mallecots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Mallecots in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sitthachat Jampeehom saved Gavião Kyikatejê from getting behind. The Invictus FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sean Mallecots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute Sean Mallecots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Sitthachat Jampeehom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sean Mallecots went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Bittencourt in the 80th minute of play. Octave Hendrickx made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gavião Kyikatejê's Davie McWhirter. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Invictus FC's goalkeeper Eddy Stoorms, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Gavião Kyikatejê were awarded a corner. Archie Brodie went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Cesare Maldini managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 90 minutes into the match, João Vítor Bittencourt notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms. Eddy Stoorms was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gavião Kyikatejê's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
