Social Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL PEPO FC the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Carlos Fernando Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Elvio Rainerio made a precise shot to the right of Nelson da Silveira. Social Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nelson da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Beltxe in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anibal Beltxe sped through Social Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelson da Silveira. In the 20th minute, Social Futebol Clube's Zé Soeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zé Soeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Social Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zé Soeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Herminio Afonso missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 23 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Nelson da Silveira right hand side. Nelson da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Beltxe in the 30th minute of play. Nelson da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Sotero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Social Futebol Clube's Nelson da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Inge in the 33rd minute of play. Nelson da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Fernendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Rainerio in the 37th minute of play forced Social Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nelson da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvio Rainerio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nelson da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Inge in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Freddy Camerino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nelson da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Elvio Rainerio sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of EL PEPO FC booed when Social Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Mariano Noe took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Nelson da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. Herminio Afonso's late challenge caught a Social Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herminio Afonso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, EL PEPO FC's Herminio Afonso got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Elvio Rainerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Nelson da Silveira made a huge save. EL PEPO FC played a much better game than Social Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Social Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
