Alexandre Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leysus Oktavianus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peñaloza's Alexandre Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Peñaloza from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute Marvin Salamanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Salamanca, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Dacio in the 27th minute of play. Alexandre Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marvin Salamanca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alexandre Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Xabat in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Mendes saved Matanza and Steelers from getting behind. Severino Mitxaut hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaron Tello was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Matanza and Steelers's Leysus Oktavianus got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Alexandre Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Limanowski in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Aquiles Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peñaloza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Bertin in the 58th minute. The corner ended in Fernando Bertin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes did a great save. Eduardo Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Renan Mendes made a huge save. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Matanza and Steelers from getting a goal against them. If Simon Oihan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Marvin Salamanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matanza and Steelers had won after a very even match.
