The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Tonete got free with Peter Lundgren in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute General Tanz II were awarded a corner. Benicio Tavio went to the cornerflag to take it. Gavino Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Bure, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Gavino Calixto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Bure in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Benknotorna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Dermitzakis to maneuver through the defense. When Benicio Tavio came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the General Tanz II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Tavio couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Geraldo Trullols got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Geraldo Trullols fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benknotorna's protests and gave Geraldo Trullols a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Benknotorna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Trullols to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Basilio Abancens fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to General Tanz II getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Benicio Tavio hit a great ball. Benknotorna's Gustav Siöberg got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Abancens in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Tonete got free with Peter Lundgren in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Benigno Tonete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Lundgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Bure was the one to do the kick off. Benknotorna's Kurt Bure got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. General Tanz II's Sverker Rosén pulled a muscle in his leg after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 58 minutes, Ted Apelqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benknotorna and the General Tanz II players grew even worse after the yellow card. General Tanz II's Bartolo Mantzio was substituted for Sverker Rosén. 61 minutes into the match, Benigno Tonete had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Lundgren. Benknotorna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benigno Tonete was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, Benknotorna's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Atroce came free, but Peter Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. General Tanz II's Gregorio Totakoxe was substituted for Arsenio Peruanton. After a rather tough play, General Tanz II's Emiliano Jacob got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gregorio Totakoxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Lundgren having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Johan Vall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benknotorna and the General Tanz II players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Benknotorna got a freekick which was hit by Johan Vall. After having played for 78 minutes, Kenneth Majman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benknotorna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Majman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Tonete in the 79th minute of play forced Benknotorna's goalkeeper Peter Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Tonete in the 81st minute of play. Peter Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Tavio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Benknotorna's Peter Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Abancens in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Tonete in the 91st minute of play forced Benknotorna's goalkeeper Peter Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Calixto was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Geraldo Trullols capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geraldo Trullols really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Peter Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Tonete in the 96th minute of the match. General Tanz II's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
