Teodosio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 12th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Teodosio Iigo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. Teodosio Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuuno Tälli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by AZURDUY F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giga Popescu was slow to take the kick. During this time Viola Invest's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Viola Invest's corner Giga Popescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teodosio Iigo quite easily take care of the ball. After 16 minutes of play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Niclas Füllkrug made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dumitru Doloman was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuuno Tälli got free with Teodosio Iigo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Kuuno Tälli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dumitru Doloman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Hermansson in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kuuno Tälli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Iigo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 28 minutes, Kuuno Tälli made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. AZURDUY F.C.'s Teodosio Iigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niclas Füllkrug's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumitru Doloman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tom Hermansson made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's Stig-Åke Gabrielsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodosio Iigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Antonin Lauze suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Vinicio Venceslao's late challenge caught a Viola Invest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinicio Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. Vinicio Venceslao hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Manuel Valerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jakobe in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Mario Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Viola Invest defense, Manuel Valerio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dumitru Doloman. The Viola Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Doloman should have stopped the shot. Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Viola Invest from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Stig-Åke Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fred Åkerström. 95 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kuuno Tälli came free, but Teodosio Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
