When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mario Jakobe sped through FC MCM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Călin Prunaru. Adrian Isbășoiu struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Dumitru Doloman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC MCM. After 7 played minutes FC MCM got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Irureta. Călin Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuuno Tälli in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Jakobe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Călin Prunaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, FC MCM's goal looked a bit too open when Kuuno Tälli came free, but Călin Prunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Viola Invest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuuno Tälli to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Paul Moscatelli. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Viola Invest's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristi Maniu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC MCM's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC MCM's corner Viktor Axelsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dumitru Doloman quite easily take care of the ball. If Mario Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Viola Invest from getting a goal against them. After the first half Viola Invest were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kuuno Tälli to strike the kick off in the second half. If Stig-Åke Gabrielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Isbășoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dumitru Doloman having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC MCM's Andrei Murărașu got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Andrei Murărașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dumitru Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Paul Moscatelli in the 66th minute of the match. Kuuno Tälli charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuuno Tälli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC MCM's Eusebiu Astafei got a free kick in the 70th minute. Dumitru Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Isbășoiu in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to FC MCM getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Andrei Murărașu hit a great ball. Dumitru Doloman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu in the 86th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Cătălin Agulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viola Invest's Dumitru Doloman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 92 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Anghelescu. The FC MCM supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Viola Invest's performance. The match ended with a win for Viola Invest.
