Oscar Frascuelo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gualterio Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Octavia's Paulin Abecia got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentim Leão to make the kick off. Oscar Frascuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentim Leão in the 54th minute of the match. Atlético Patoruzu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
