Marcelo-Luis Butcher started the match with the kick off. Aldo Hawk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Marcelo-Luis Butcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Atlético Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Proença came free, but Aldo Hawk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Albuquerque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualterio Aguirre went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Danone CC's Chico Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentim Leão in the 12th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentim Leão came free, but Chico Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Proença in the 13th minute of play forced Atlético Patoruzu's goalkeeper Aldo Hawk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chico Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiley Boyle in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiley Boyle came free, but Chico Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentim Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Chico Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo-Luis Butcher in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiley Boyle came free, but Chico Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernando Proença was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mané Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chico Albuquerque was a little too slow when Valentim Leão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-3. Thanks to some nice moves Gualterio Aguirre could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Chico Albuquerque however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentim Leão in the 65th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Chico Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Hawk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel McQuarrie in the 66th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Patoruzu's Marcelo-Luis Butcher slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chico Albuquerque. That made the score 0-4 after 67 minutes of play. Chico Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Leão in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Atlético Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Toledo came free, but Aldo Hawk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Gualterio Aguirre sent off a good shot on target.
