The Nueva Chicago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Cañizares should have stopped the shot. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omurtag Púrvulov in the 9th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Ronaldinho Gaúcho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Cañizares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omurtag Púrvulov in the 14th minute of the match. When Blue avalanche's Stanislav Búlgarov in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nueva Chicago's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Nueva Chicago booed when Blue avalanche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Feliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislav Búlgarov in the 24th minute of play. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seymour Coffman in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Pendones in the 31st minute of play forced Blue avalanche's goalkeeper Slavey Dochevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Blue avalanche's Stanislav Búlgarov made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Cañizares was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislav Búlgarov in the 37th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Búlgarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Slavey Dochevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalvador Pendones in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Pendones in the 41st minute of play forced Blue avalanche's goalkeeper Slavey Dochevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Nueva Chicago players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blue avalanche were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislav Búlgarov to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Stanislav Búlgarov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Santiago Cañizares, passed just outside the right post. In the 54th minute, Delyan Partinov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santiago Cañizares. The goal made the score 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Chicago's zone, Omurtag Púrvulov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and Omurtag Púrvulov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Marcial Ziguenza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue avalanche's Slavey Dochevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delyan Partinov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislav Búlgarov got free with Santiago Cañizares in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Seymour Coffman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislav Búlgarov in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Cañizares saved Nueva Chicago from getting behind. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delyan Partinov, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Stanislav Búlgarov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Santiago Cañizares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nueva Chicago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was slow to take the kick. During this time Blue avalanche's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ronaldinho Gaúcho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares did a great save. Santiago Cañizares made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Omurtag Púrvulov sent off a good shot on target. In the 86thth minute of the game Omurtag Púrvulov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 86 minutes, Omurtag Púrvulov made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stanislav Búlgarov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Santiago Cañizares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Blue avalanche getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Wei Yi Hong hit a great ball. The Blue avalanche players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
