Lorenzo Tauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Abreu in the 11th minute of the match. Santiago Abreu scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Tauro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Durazno FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Romeo Hernandez hit a great ball. Santiago Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorenzo Tauro having to make a save. The corner ended in Jiang Sha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Durazno FC's Lorenzo Tauro did a great save. After 35 minutes, Santiago Abreu made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Durazno FC's Lorenzo Tauro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Celestiales fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Celestiales's Santiago Abreu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Santiago Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celestiales's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Tauro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Tauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Jiang Sha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorenzo Tauro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Abreu was the one to do the kick off. Lorenzo Tauro was a little too slow when Santiago Abreu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 58th minute, Ariel Valiente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Santiago Abreu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorenzo Tauro. The goal made the score 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Abreu got free with Lorenzo Tauro in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Celestiales's Santiago Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. In the 76th minute of the match Celestiales got a corner. Durazno FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jiang Sha ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Celestiales's Albano Millan to fire away a dangerous shot which Lorenzo Tauro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lorenzo Tauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Celestiales eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
