In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Valda came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Valda in the 9th minute of the match. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clis Comas in the 12th minute of play. Austral FC's Clis Comas got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nueva Chicago's Arlo Abril was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Damaso Hurko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 19 minutes Austral FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joga Leve who took care of the corner kick. After 19 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Arlo Abril. After having played for 23 minutes, Clis Comas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austral FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clis Comas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Valda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Valda, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Valda came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Valda in the 31st minute of the match. Augusto Valda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Santiago Cañizares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Cañizares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Valda in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Valda in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Cañizares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Valda, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Valda in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Cañizares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clis Comas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Cañizares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Laureano Pinillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Cañizares having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
