The corner ended in Lou Deans almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TotoRACING's Nataniel de la Rosa did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Cesar Macario managed to get in a good position for a shot. TotoRACING's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Macario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Cañizares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xalvador Pendones to strike the kick off in the second half. The TotoRACING fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nueva Chicago were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
