Santiago Cañizares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute, Gonzalo Otsoko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cañizares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Matthew McKail made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalvador Pendones in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Chelsea Headhunters got a corner. Nueva Chicago's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Knut Sandström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Knut Sandström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares did a great save. Diego Lugano kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Arlo Abril charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arlo Abril the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Otsoko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Chelsea Headhunters getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Constantino Armada hit a great ball. Chelsea Headhunters's 孟坤誉 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arlo Abril in the 54 minute of the game. Knut Sandström was slow to take the kick. During this time Chelsea Headhunters's players had a chance to rest. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Otsoko in the 71st minute of the match. But to his dismay, Karol Lampa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Karol Lampa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santiago Cañizares having to make a save. In the 88th minute Karol Lampa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Yana Brolin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Headhunters's supporters rose to their feet, but Yana Brolin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Cañizares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Chelsea Headhunters's Constantino Armada got a free kick in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Chelsea Headhunters's goal looked a bit too open when Joga Leve came free, but Matthew McKail reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chelsea Headhunters were victorious despite being under pressure from Nueva Chicago for much of the match.
