Buford Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hendrik de Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buford Lim made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Hendrik de Lange sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Quebec city FC booed when Caleufú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Madeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik de Lange in the 30th minute of play. Quebec city FC's Pat Grier got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34thth minute of the game Nicky Lacharité who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caleufú's Alejo Urtsin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Pat Grier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebec city FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pat Grier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quebec city FC's Buford Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Menendo in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Caleufú got a corner. Quebec city FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Gonzales ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Quebec city FC's goalie and right to Dorival Motta. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Quebec city FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Caleufú's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Gonzales in the 44th minute. After taking down the ball on Caleufú's corner Fernando Gonzales fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Buford Lim quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Quebec city FC's Donatien Filoche got a free kick in the 46th minute. The Caleufú players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quebec city FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Trabucco to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Herman Hall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebec city FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Hall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 52nd minute Nicky Lacharité shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Urtsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Quebec city FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donatien Filoche to maneuver through the defense. Nicky Lacharité fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Urtsin having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Quebec city FC's Nicky Lacharité nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Urtsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 81 minutes into the match, Caleufú's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Hall came free, but Alejo Urtsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caleufú's Alejo Urtsin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Caleufú from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, Caleufú's goalkeeper Alejo Urtsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicky Lacharité. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quebec city FC! The referee gave Caleufú a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Patricio Rico, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quebec city FC's Buford Lim. 1-3. Caleufú's Alejo Urtsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Lacharité in the 93rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Nicky Lacharité put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Alejo Urtsin. The Caleufú supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Quebec city FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Quebec city FC.
