Alvaro Marchesani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronan McCunn went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Sconvols United's goalkeeper Alvaro Marchesani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronan McCunn. If Ferruccio Allegretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX SC from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Marchesani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan McCunn in the 82nd minute of play forced Sconvols United's goalkeeper Alvaro Marchesani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sconvols United's Alvaro Marchesani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan McCunn in the 86th minute of play. Alfredo Di Blasio was slow to take the kick. During this time Sconvols United's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sconvols United's Alfredo Di Blasio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ray Clemence despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PHOENIX SC had played much better football throughout.
