In the 4th minute József Sallói shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vatroslav Šturbek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Szentgotthárd's József Sallói in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZG Hakleri's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers József Sallói in the 8th managed to get into a good position. Rade Grdanovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kornél Hajdú having to interfere. ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sallói in the 12th minute of play. Konstanty Dzierwa scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vatroslav Šturbek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the ZG Hakleri defense, József Sallói kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vatroslav Šturbek. The ZG Hakleri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vatroslav Šturbek should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, József Sallói notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek. Vatroslav Šturbek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vatroslav Šturbek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstanty Dzierwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25thth minute of the game Miklós Ferencz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vatroslav Šturbek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Sallói, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Károly Selymes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vatroslav Šturbek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boris Patafta kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the ZG Hakleri defense, József Sallói kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vatroslav Šturbek. The ZG Hakleri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vatroslav Šturbek should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that József Sallói's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vatroslav Šturbek was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Vatroslav Šturbek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from József Sallói went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, József Sallói had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vatroslav Šturbek. ZG Hakleri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that József Sallói was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 46th minute of the match Szentgotthárd got a corner. ZG Hakleri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miklós Ferencz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but József Sallói advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-8 in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

Vatroslav Šturbek came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Szentgotthárd's József Sallói. But to his dismay, József Sallói quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sallói in the 55th minute of play. Károly Selymes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Vatroslav Šturbek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boris Patafta kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Konstanty Dzierwa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vatroslav Šturbek having to interfere. Szentgotthárd's József Sallói got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Vatroslav Šturbek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nistor Tastaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Vatroslav Šturbek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sallói in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Nistor Tastaman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to ZG Hakleri getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Milan Pigac hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Szentgotthárd's József Sallói dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. 87 minutes into the match, József Sallói had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vatroslav Šturbek. ZG Hakleri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that József Sallói was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. After 90 minutes, Konstanty Dzierwa made it 0-14 with a short kick to the right side. ZG Hakleri's Vatroslav Šturbek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vatroslav Šturbek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Sallói, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Szentgotthárd played a much better game than ZG Hakleri and deserved their victory. The ZG Hakleri players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
