Angelo Cefero's late challenge caught a Riquelme Fútbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Cefero helped the player get up and apologised. Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Oalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Cefero in the 16th minute of play forced Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Atila Edu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Cefero scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atila Edu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rony Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Orlanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Cefero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atila Edu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Rony Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Suarez in the 30th minute of play. Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Atila Edu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cefero in the 38th minute of the match. Nonatos United's Rony Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Suarez in the 41st minute of play. Angelo Cefero might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atila Edu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Cefero ran back to his position shaking his head. Atila Edu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Cefero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Oalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Nonatos United's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Urbes came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink to make the kick off. Angelo Cefero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rony Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Orlanda in the 55th minute. Nonatos United's Téo da Silva was substituted for Angelo Cefero. Atila Edu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atila Edu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Téo da Silva in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atila Edu saved Riquelme Fútbol Club from getting behind. After 79 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Du Le Jun. In the 80th minute, Genaro Suarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riquelme Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 84 minutes into the match, Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atila Edu. Riquelme Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Rony Zanette didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severo Urbes went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Atila Edu came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Nonatos United's Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink. But to his dismay, Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. The supporters of Riquelme Fútbol Club booed when Nonatos United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Nonatos United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Nonatos United could leave the field as winners, despite Riquelme Fútbol Club having more of the ball for most of the match.
