In the 8th minute Karl-Heinz Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atila Edu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Valerios Voutsas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atila Edu. Riquelme Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valerios Voutsas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th minute, Egil Siöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes, Riquelme Fútbol Club's Severo Urbes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laurențiu Susara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Riquelme Fútbol Club reached it. Atila Edu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valerios Voutsas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Atila Edu came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Saronida FC's Valerios Voutsas. But to his dismay, Valerios Voutsas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valerios Voutsas in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atila Edu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saronida FC's Valerios Voutsas got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute of the match Saronida FC got a corner. Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Heinz Schneider ran over to the corner to take the kick. Saronida FC's Karl-Heinz Schneider was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Atila Edu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerios Voutsas in the 41st minute of play forced Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Atila Edu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Valerios Voutsas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saronida FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Karl-Heinz Schneider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atila Edu having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valerios Voutsas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Valerios Voutsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atila Edu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atila Edu made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Valerios Voutsas sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Louis Dentsas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Riquelme Fútbol Club's Atila Edu did a great save. Riquelme Fútbol Club's Atila Edu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Riquelme Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Atila Edu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huang Tian Yun. Atila Edu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Huang Tian Yun sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Saronida FC's Huang Tian Yun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Atila Edu. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huang Tian Yun got free with Atila Edu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Huang Tian Yun put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Atila Edu.
