Alvinegro Carioca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Africano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfred Wallin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everton Cebollero's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Alvinegro Carioca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stardust Unicorns XI the free kick. After 46 played minutes Stardust Unicorns XI got a freekick which was hit by Roman Jakes. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rock Etmanis to make the kick off. If Atak Sehriyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes, Isak Ödman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stardust Unicorns XI and the Alvinegro Carioca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manfred Wallin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Everton Cebollero made a precise shot to the right of Manfred Wallin. Stardust Unicorns XI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. If Bruno Africano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Alvinegro Carioca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
