The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Sciamanna came free, but José Carlos Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Phenomena's zone, Bruno Africano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Molinaro came out of the goal and Bruno Africano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Atak Sehriyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Sciamanna in the 10th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper José Carlos Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Di Palma's late challenge caught a Alvinegro Carioca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Di Palma helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Phenomena getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Emilio Di Palma hit a great ball. Ernesto Molinaro came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Alvinegro Carioca's Bruno Africano. But to his dismay, Bruno Africano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Sciamanna in the 18th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper José Carlos Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Carlos Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Sciamanna in the 22nd minute of play. Celsinho Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Molinaro having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's Bruno Africano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Molinaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 0-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Bruno Africano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Bruno Africano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvinegro Carioca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Atak Sehriyar took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Molinaro. Ernesto Molinaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 44 minutes into the game, Bruno Africano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ernesto Molinaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the match, Phenomena's goal looked a bit too open when Atak Sehriyar came free, but Ernesto Molinaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Bruno Africano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Molinaro. Phenomena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Africano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Mannella made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Tartaglia in the 59th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper José Carlos Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phenomena's Ernesto Molinaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Phenomena from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Bruno Africano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Molinaro was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Atak Sehriyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Molinaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Africano went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. After 78 minutes of play, Alvinegro Carioca's Atak Sehriyar made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Molinaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvinegro Carioca's José Carlos Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Sciamanna in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute Carmine Sciamanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Demetrio Tartaglia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-10. José Carlos Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvinegro Carioca's José Carlos Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Mannella in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Phenomena's goalkeeper Ernesto Molinaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Africano. 93 minutes into the match, Bruno Africano notched a goal, 1-11, to the right of Phenomena's Ernesto Molinaro. Ernesto Molinaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 96 minutes, Bruno Africano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvinegro Carioca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Africano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvinegro Carioca's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
