Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Roland Czerniejewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Turner. In the 13th minute, Witold Lepucki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aaron Smallwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gwidon Patora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aaron Smallwood read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Turner got free with Roland Czerniejewski in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Edward Oliszewski in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santos FC's Tory Weeks. With his leg Roland Czerniejewski managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roland Czerniejewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a little luck, Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski got control of the ball when Arturo Turner tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 minutes Santos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartosz Lizewski who took care of the corner kick. Olgierd Ziemniak kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Roland Czerniejewski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartosz Lizewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lanny Gilmore to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Bartosz Lizewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aaron Smallwood saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roland Czerniejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Turner in the 62nd minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Roland Czerniejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartosz Lizewski couldn't finish the play. Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 94th minute of play. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dominic Albright in the 96th minute. The corner ended in Dominic Albright almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski did a great save.
