The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erland Arhenius's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Anis Achour skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Symba booed when FC FERNET BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulryk Rutecki didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC FERNET BOYS's Erland Arhenius got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrej Ďuriš in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Symba's Muhammad Bejaoui seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Muhammad Bejaoui the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Symba protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Muhammad Bejaoui had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Symba fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Lukáč Vranka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khaled Chérif in the 24th minute of the match. Anis Achour made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulryk Rutecki in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Erland Arhenius could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Anis Achour however easily saved by the left post. Erland Arhenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Anis Achour made a huge save. Hipolito Salvidor took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anis Achour. Anis Achour dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Symba's Orlando Queirós got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juraj Starší during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juraj Starší kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes, Symba's Tomás San Juan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lukáč Vranka came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Symba reached it.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulryk Rutecki in the 82nd minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, FC FERNET BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Veiga came free, but Lukáč Vranka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Erland Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC FERNET BOYS's supporters rose to their feet, but Erland Arhenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anis Achour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC FERNET BOYS made a substitution. Nikos Karastathis replaced Sergio Agüero.
