In the 7th minute Arif Çelebi Ergener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Van Hemel in the 8th minute of play. Wesselbend's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonáš Baroš in the 9th minute. Wesselbend's Jonáš Baroš was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Viktor Häll in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Benard Ngamta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's goal looked a bit too open when Benard Ngamta came free, but Viktor Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viktor Häll made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grégoire Caamaño in the 18th minute. The supporters of Wesselbend booed when NovaStella FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Lorien didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Huguet in the 23rd minute of play forced NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Häll made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Grégoire Caamaño sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes NovaStella FK got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Nyman. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Çelebi Ergener in the 35th minute of play. Viktor Häll was a little too slow when Benard Ngamta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. Reine Lidberg hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Jonáš Baroš shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Häll showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Timy Verengen hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everardo Huguet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arif Çelebi Ergener might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jurgen Goris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Çelebi Ergener ran back to his position shaking his head. Viktor Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Van Hemel in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Benard Ngamta made a precise shot to the right of Viktor Häll. NovaStella FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 59th minute Benard Ngamta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Häll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Huguet in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viktor Häll saved NovaStella FK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Van Hemel in the 65th minute of play forced NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Lorien charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Lorien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonáš Baroš took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Viktor Häll. NovaStella FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an all-out effort, NovaStella FK's Jurgen Goris threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reine Lidberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Viktor Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Huguet in the 85th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, NovaStella FK's Arif Çelebi Ergener dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 96th minute Everardo Huguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Häll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wesselbend fans cheered their team off the field, for while NovaStella FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
