In the 21st minute of the match Húsares got a corner. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 64th minute, José Bomba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Quintyn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Miguel Poças made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Ferran in the 70th minute. When F.C. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. F.C. Paços de Ferreira had won after a very even match.
