An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bomba in the 11th minute of play forced Leopard Brööö's goalkeeper Karl Österberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Bomba struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Karl Österberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Paços de Ferreira. 22 minutes into the match, Kim Ekerot dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel Poças, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Ekerot got free with Miguel Poças in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robert Ålberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Leopard Brööö's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Kim Ekerot got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miguel Poças quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. José Bomba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl Österberg having to make a save. Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, José Bomba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karl Österberg. Leopard Brööö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Bomba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 46th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Österberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils-Åke Ivarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karl Österberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Bomba's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the match, José Bomba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl Österberg, 1-2. José Bomba came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karl Österberg could save by the left post. Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Leopard Brööö from getting a goal against them. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Villiam Klintæus in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, F.C. Tony Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Miguel Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Leopard Brööö defense, José Bomba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Österberg. The Leopard Brööö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Österberg should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, José Bomba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl Österberg. The goal made the score 1-4. The Leopard Brööö fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C. Paços de Ferreira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
