Paços de Ferreira were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after El Pasteral F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Tudor took the corner. Xaime Campoamor came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba. But to his dismay, José Bomba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Pasteral F.C's goalkeeper Xaime Campoamor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Silvestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Bomba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sotero Serena. In the 41st minute, Uriel Silvestre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xaime Campoamor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Paulo Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The El Pasteral F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xaime Campoamor should have stopped the shot. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serapio Cazorla in the 62nd minute of play. José Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaime Campoamor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Silvestre in the 71st minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Bomba might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xaime Campoamor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Bomba ran back to his position shaking his head. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Denis Osokin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alarico Buendia in the 84 minute of the game. El Pasteral F.C's Xaime Campoamor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save El Pasteral F.C from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes El Pasteral F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Tudor who took care of the corner kick. Xaime Campoamor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Bomba in the 88th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, José Bomba notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of El Pasteral F.C's Xaime Campoamor.
