Samuel Evarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Bomba in the 3rd minute of the match. Mauricio Ekaitz scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Poças, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Wydrych in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Boguslaw Wydrych left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermosillo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 14th minute Mauricio Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Ekaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Miguel Poças made a huge save. Mauricio Ekaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Poças having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hermosillo FC defense, José Bomba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Evarado. The Hermosillo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Evarado should have stopped the shot. José Bomba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Evarado having to make a save. In the 27th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Ekaitz. When Mauricio Ekaitz came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Hermosillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Ekaitz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 33 minutes, Mauricio Ekaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermosillo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Ekaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Ekaitz. Miguel Poças didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauricio Ekaitz went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Gonzalo Corderro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Mauricio Ekaitz made the kick off in the second half. Javier Quentin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Bóas Pernas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Ekaitz in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Ferreira came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Evarado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Ekaitz in the 67th minute of the match. After 74 minutes of play, Hermosillo FC's Mauricio Ekaitz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The crowd rose to their feet as José Bomba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samuel Evarado. That made the score 4-2 in the 81 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Ekaitz came free, but Miguel Poças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Bomba took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Evarado. Samuel Evarado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Saúl Zambujal hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Hermosillo FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of F.C. Paços de Ferreira for a fine match.
