Natan Labrouche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorsten Klemm, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Valdir Bigotte notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Natan Labrouche. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Thorsten Klemm scored to the left of an out of position Natan Labrouche, making the score, 7-0. If Thorsten Klemm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Hollanders to make the kick off.
