Joonatan De Vlaeminck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Zatorski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbigniew Zatorski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan De Vlaeminck having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Czeszyk in the 15th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Davut Altınpınar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Piatek in the 16th minute of play forced F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Quirino hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Piatek in the 32nd minute of play forced F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbigniew Zatorski to make the kick off. Jan Piatek came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joonatan De Vlaeminck could save by the left post. In the 57th minute Zbigniew Zatorski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Piatek. F. C. Joonatan De Vlaeminck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Ash Duxbury was substituted for Mauro Quirino. 77 minutes into the match, F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristofer Peck. Davut Altınpınar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Wielowiejski, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes F. C. Clonmels Devils got a freekick which was hit by Jaroslaw Zacharzewski. Dobromir Malewicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a huge save. Zbigniew Zatorski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristofer Peck in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute of the match Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a corner. F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dobromir Malewicki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gabriel Peres was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
