Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huang Guo Feng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes of play, FC Jones's Huang Guo Feng made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarmo Pasanen in the 25th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Tatu Vainionpää in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Keszi Athletic's Sabin Calderon. Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huang Guo Feng in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Hugó Révész shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isak Stenquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Jones's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Hugó Révész scored to the left of an out of position Isak Stenquist, making the score, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugó Révész in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isak Stenquist saved FC Jones from getting behind. Isak Stenquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugó Révész's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Sabin Calderon made a great header on Keszi Athletic's corner, it was just that FC Jones's Isak Stenquist managed to reach the ball for a save. Huang Guo Feng scored 2-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keszi Athletic made a substitution. Kornél Kerekes replaced Anton Kutnjak. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

FC Jones's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
