Håkan Lindgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiel De Raeijmaecker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Emiel De Raeijmaecker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 狄亦渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute, 狄亦渊 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brothers of Mercy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romain Berrewouts to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fox Hunting Squad's Julien Cappels got a free kick in the 50th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fox Hunting Squad's zone, Håkan Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiel De Raeijmaecker came out of the goal and Håkan Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Patrik Skarkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emiel De Raeijmaecker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Lindgren in the 59th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Romain Berrewouts came free, but Markus Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes Brothers of Mercy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joachim Vleminx who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joachim Vleminx got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Markus Nyman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Brothers of Mercy's Gabriel Saliba was substituted for Roger Strömberg. 69 minutes into the game, Ian De Worteleer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brothers of Mercy's Per-Oskar Hjortsberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Fox Hunting Squad's Emiel De Raeijmaecker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 76th minute of play forced Fox Hunting Squad's goalkeeper Emiel De Raeijmaecker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Brothers of Mercy's 狄亦渊 to fire away a dangerous shot which Emiel De Raeijmaecker despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Håkan Lindgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiel De Raeijmaecker. That made the score 0-5 in the 79 minute of play. In the 85th minute Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner. 狄亦渊 went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in 狄亦渊 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fox Hunting Squad's Emiel De Raeijmaecker did a great save. When Brothers of Mercy's Per-Oskar Hjortsberg in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fox Hunting Squad's goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the game, Julien Cappels threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brothers of Mercy's Egon Röd quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 90 played minutes Fox Hunting Squad got a freekick which was hit by Julien Cappels. Brothers of Mercy played a much better game than Fox Hunting Squad and deserved their victory. The Fox Hunting Squad players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
