In the 16th minute, Fernandez Fresco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Primitivo Ruelas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ayahuasca F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tracto the free kick. Derwin Cubas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Tracto's José Stevenson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Derwin Cubas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tracto's Benedito Granja got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Fernandez Fresco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ayahuasca F.C. and the Tracto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernandez Fresco hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ayahuasca F.C.'s goalkeeper Derwin Cubas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Derwin Cubas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Stevenson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. José Stevenson scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Derwin Cubas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 40 played minutes Ayahuasca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rafel Arceo. Fred de Brito, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When José Stevenson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tracto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Stevenson couldn't finish the play. The Ayahuasca F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tracto were winning 0-4.

Tracto's Dante Ogazón was substituted for Teofilo Karmel. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bembe Gormaz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, José Stevenson made a precise shot to the right of Derwin Cubas. Ayahuasca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. José Stevenson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Derwin Cubas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tracto. Ayahuasca F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fred de Brito ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benedito Granja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Derwin Cubas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Tracto's José Stevenson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigih Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bembe Gormaz in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, José Stevenson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tracto's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Stevenson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that José Stevenson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Derwin Cubas was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Ayahuasca F.C.'s Derwin Cubas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Stevenson in the 96th minute of play.
