When Dumetochukwu Obeyera came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumetochukwu Obeyera couldn't finish the play. The corner was taken by Atilla Tarkan Ersezer in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Giresun United F.K ©'s goal looked a bit too open when Ejike Ummalah came free, but Bayram İnceman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Giresun United F.K ©'s Naci Tuncel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Georg Bringtoft sped through LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Udoka Ochegbulu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Giresun United F.K © made a substitution. Uygur Okatan replaced Sercan Ekinoğlu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Bringtoft was the one to do the kick off. LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014's Dumetochukwu Obeyera got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Giresun United F.K © booed when LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atilla Tarkan Ersezer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Giresun United F.K ©'s Atilla Tarkan Ersezer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Udoka Ochegbulu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014's Udoka Ochegbulu got control of the ball when Georg Bringtoft tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 97 played minutes LAGOS STELLARIS FC2014 got a freekick which was hit by Dike Balogun.
