Though ot was a great shot Dakar Olympique's keeper Vágner de Lara was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Miguel Mazza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vágner de Lara firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Mazza got free with Vágner de Lara in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vágner de Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Mazza in the 18th minute. Anselmo Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee Hislop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nascidos Para Jogar F.C booed when Dakar Olympique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guy Furlong didn't get a good kick on the ball.
