In the 9thth minute of the game Marcin Andrychowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, SCs StarS's Petr Čech got control of the ball when Pawel Kornecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Andrychowski in the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Pawel Kornecki could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Petr Čech however easily saved by the left post. When Edmund Lato fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KM Efektowni's protests and gave Edmund Lato a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes KM Efektowni got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Lato. After some careless play in the KM Efektowni defense, Thiago Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven Wadham. The KM Efektowni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven Wadham should have stopped the shot. Thiago Gol took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steven Wadham. Steven Wadham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 34 minutes of play, SCs StarS's Thiago Gol made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Wadham was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thiago Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Wadham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. KM Efektowni's Steven Wadham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Gol in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Thiago Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steven Wadham was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Steven Wadham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordy Dirks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

SCs StarS's Henk Zijden was substituted for Edgar Reitsema. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thiago Gol to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as SCs StarS's Thiago Gol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steven Wadham. That made the score 0-5 after 55 minutes of play. KM Efektowni's Wincenty Plachetka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Co Scholten in the 58 minute of the game. In the 61st minute Jan Cizeski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Bendyk hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Florian Hekman shot from long distance in the 64th minute, but Steven Wadham was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcin Andrychowski in the 69th minute of play. Steven Wadham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthijs Ebbinge in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match, Jordy Dirks got a very nice opportunity to score, but Steven Wadham was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Jordy Dirks could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Steven Wadham however easily saved by the left post. Steven Wadham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthijs Ebbinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KM Efektowni's Steven Wadham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save KM Efektowni from getting a goal against them. When Franciszek Mochowak fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KM Efektowni's protests and gave Franciszek Mochowak a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, KM Efektowni's Franciszek Mochowak got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute Thiago Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Wadham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincenty Plachetka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Marcin Andrychowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordy Dirks in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Wadham prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
