Percival Munhoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breno Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Nuno Peralta made a huge save. After 18 played minutes Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Trigo. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Călin Boieraș was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Percival Munhoz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Perișoară in the 31st minute of play. Percival Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Panduru in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Călin Boieraș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Munhoz. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Călin Boieraș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Basarab Panduru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Percival Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chioreanu in the 47th minute of play. Percival Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Perișoară, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Călin Boieraș in the 49th minute. The corner ended in Adrian Nasta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz did a great save. After having played for 49 minutes, Adrian Nasta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Nasta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horia Chioreanu was the one to do the kick off.
