Jean-Marie Sanquer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer. Jean-Marie Sanquer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes Perthes United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Prosperi who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Timoteo Basualdo at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Perthes United. 0-4. Elpidio Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Sanquer having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Perthes United's Théophile Clarac got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Jean-Marie Sanquer made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Elpidio Francis sent off a good shot on target. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jean-Marie Sanquer made a huge save. Jean-Marie Sanquer was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Elpidio Francis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elpidio Francis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 62 minutes into the match, Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Francis got free with Jean-Marie Sanquer in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Marie Sanquer. That made the score 0-6 after 67 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the match, Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. Elpidio Francis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Jean-Marie Sanquer 76 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes Perthes United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Venancio Havier who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean-Marie Sanquer. That made the score 0-8 after 87 minutes of play. 92 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Jean-Marie Sanquer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
