Juan Caton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakub Waselenczuk went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martinez Maravilha in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godo Gøl saved FC Lugano from getting behind. After having played for 15 minutes, Martinez Maravilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martinez Maravilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Garnier Nüesch got a free kick in the 16th minute. Godo Gøl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martinez Maravilha in the 18th minute. Godo Gøl made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Martinez Maravilha sent off a good shot on target. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
