After taking down the ball on ORIZABA F.C.'s corner Virgil van Dijk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fonso Zotillo quite easily take care of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Beattie came free, but Fonso Zotillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, XV de Piracicaba's Valdir Marquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Richárd Textex. Richárd Textex yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Toninho Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Richárd Textex made a huge save. ORIZABA F.C.'s Fausto Beattie got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Galvão in the 39th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Toninho Galvão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Richárd Textex. That made the score 2-2 in the 41 minute of play. Alcino Sarmento hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Severino Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Richárd Textex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for XV de Piracicaba. After some careless play in the XV de Piracicaba defense, Virgil van Dijk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fonso Zotillo. The XV de Piracicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fonso Zotillo should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauan Rosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richárd Textex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Nunes in the 53rd minute of the match. XV de Piracicaba's Fábio Montoia got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdir Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richárd Textex having to make a save. Richárd Textex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Montoia in the 64th minute of the match. Richárd Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Montoia in the 66th minute of play. Richárd Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Kosakowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Montoia in the 71st minute of play. Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Kosakowski in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Rosa came free, but Fonso Zotillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fonso Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fausto Beattie came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the ORIZABA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Beattie couldn't finish the play. Fonso Zotillo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Julian Kosakowski sent off a good shot on target. ORIZABA F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
