Jacksonville 67's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven Horring in the 5th minute. Sven Horring made a great header on Jacksonville 67's corner, it was just that Xanda FC's Ian Melo managed to reach the ball for a save. Ian Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Horring in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute King Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game King Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xanda FC's Ian Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Batistuta in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Cruz scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Melo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Batistuta in the 25th minute of play. Igor Pankiewicz hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's Renan Paes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Hanni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Renan Paes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogelio Hanni. Renan Paes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 35 minutes into the match, Jacksonville 67's King Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Melo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. King Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Andy Pool ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Oscar Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacksonville 67's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Jacksonville 67 were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Norberto da Silva made the kick off in the second half. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Cruz in the 52nd minute of play. If Umberto Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. King Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ian Melo made a huge save. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Cruz in the 63rd minute of play. Ian Melo was a little too slow when King Batistuta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-5. Ian Melo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacksonville 67's Oscar Cruz. But to his dismay, Oscar Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Xanda FC's Ian Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Xanda FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacksonville 67's King Batistuta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Melo. That made the score 1-7 after 75 minutes of play. Luiz Fernando Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rogelio Hanni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Oscar Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xanda FC's Ian Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute of the match, Andy Pool got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ian Melo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Pool in the 92nd minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Xanda FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jacksonville 67's performance. The match ended with a win for Jacksonville 67.
