The crowd rose to their feet as Magnistar's Kléber Secco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Teles. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Kléber Secco's late challenge caught a B.Z. F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléber Secco helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes B.Z. F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Teixeira. Kléber Secco struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. When Cauã Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magnistar's protests and gave Cauã Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Secco got free with Paulo Teles in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauã Carneiro to make the kick off. Magnistar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cauã Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulo Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aírton Penha was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Estevão Ponte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Aírton Penha made a huge save. Paulo Teles came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Magnistar's Nelson Abraão. But to his dismay, Nelson Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 91st match minute, Magnistar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Bingen to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Baltazar de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, B.Z. F.C.'s Ilídio Severiano got a free kick in the 94th minute. Magnistar's Kléber Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Magnistar had won after a very even match.
