São José City - FSCMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Norris Lando was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Genaro Aragones showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 34 minute of play. Rene Flor took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Buffon. George Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 46 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Flor came free, but George Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by São José City - FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. William Bodin was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Bull Crystallis's players had a chance to rest. São José City - FSCMZ's Primo Mazzola was substituted for Elias Rocha. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rene Flor made a kick off. George Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Flor in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Red Bull Crystallis defense, Cássio da Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norris Lando. The Red Bull Crystallis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norris Lando should have stopped the shot. Genaro Aragones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Red Bull Crystallis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Flor to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Flor came free, but George Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
