Kaj Hellgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernst Murumaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Karl-Magnus Åman kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mulgimaa Kosilased defense, Traian Iorda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sulev Vaht. The Mulgimaa Kosilased fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sulev Vaht should have stopped the shot. After 16 played minutes Mulgimaa Kosilased got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Ciuvică. Kaj Hellgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a little luck, Mulgimaa Kosilased's Sulev Vaht got control of the ball when Traian Iorda tried to sneak it across the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Traian Iorda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Kaj Hellgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 53rd minute, Mihail Ciuvică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaj Hellgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mihail Ciuvică showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 55 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernst Murumaa got free with Kaj Hellgren in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
