Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gabriel Batistuta started the match with the kick off. When Gabriel Batistuta fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Sporting Navuo's protests and gave Gabriel Batistuta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Batistuta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 9th minute of play forced Clube Sporting Navuo's goalkeeper Joaquim Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Clube Sporting Navuo's Gabriel Batistuta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nichlas Vesterdahl. Nichlas Vesterdahl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Rene Rostholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Randers A.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Rostholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Rostholm in the 18th minute of play forced Clube Sporting Navuo's goalkeeper Joaquim Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Bruno Steenbeck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joaquim Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nichlas Vesterdahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Fuchs's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Steenbeck in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Pombal saved Clube Sporting Navuo from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Nichlas Vesterdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Fuchs. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander McCuag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Bruno Steenbeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Pombal was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 39thth minute of the game Bruno Steenbeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl got control of the ball when Alexander McCuag tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquim Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Steenbeck in the 42nd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Randers A.F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clube Sporting Navuo:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Steenbeck to strike the kick off in the second half. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Fuchs in the 51st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Alexander McCuag put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nichlas Vesterdahl. In the 56th minute Andreas Fuchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Bruno Steenbeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Randers A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Steenbeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Bruno Steenbeck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquim Pombal, 2-2. In the 63rd minute, one of Clube Sporting Navuo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clube Sporting Navuo. In the 66th minute of the match Randers A.F.C. got a corner. Clube Sporting Navuo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Dunixi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bruno Steenbeck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Joaquim Pombal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Bruno Steenbeck notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Clube Sporting Navuo's Joaquim Pombal. Joaquim Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clube Sporting Navuo's Clóvis Tande was substituted for Artan Topalovski. Clube Sporting Navuo's Ezequiel Capixaba was substituted for Emilijano Spasovski. Joaquim Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Steenbeck in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Rene Rostholm dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquim Pombal, 2-4. Randers A.F.C. made a substitution. Terri Bulk replaced Bruno Steenbeck. Joaquim Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Rostholm in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Clube Sporting Navuo's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Rostholm came free, but Joaquim Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas Fuchs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nichlas Vesterdahl having to make a save.
