When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Germano Borba took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mattias Sawyer to make any attempt to save it. After 31 minutes of play, Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mattias Sawyer made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Humberto Velasques sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Ty Hislop ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 39th minute Germano Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when David Rocha came free, but Mattias Sawyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calvin Croft hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Mattias Sawyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoslaw Zukowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 44 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Ty Hislop. After the first half Memphis Grizzlies were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Humberto Velasques made the kick off in the second half. Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Borba in the 55th minute of play. Mattias Sawyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Germano Borba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futebol Espinhel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Vinicio Carballeira replaced Ty Hislop. Celso Vasconcelos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vinicio Carballeira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-6 in the 70 minute of play. Mattias Sawyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Borba in the 74th minute of the match. Vinicio Carballeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Celso Vasconcelos made a huge save. In the 80th minute Germano Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Sawyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Germano Borba went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-6 was the resulting score. Although Futebol Espinhel had been in control for most of the match, Memphis Grizzlies still came away with the win.
