The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5thth minute of the game Carmen Paniagua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Juvenal Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrian Ruddock in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute Eddie Wittingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamal Pahlevi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jo Tabb made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Colin Wright. The audience was convinced that Carmen Paniagua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Moreira was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th minute Derek Findley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamal Pahlevi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ruddock. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derek Findley, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Carmen Paniagua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Guijarro to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carmen Paniagua came free, but Juvenal Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Colin Wright hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Juvenal Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmen Paniagua in the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s zone, Pitin Vallejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Moreira came out of the goal and Pitin Vallejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Tirant lo Blanch booed when Lisburn Distillery F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Tabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmen Paniagua took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal Moreira. Juvenal Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jo Tabb made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eddie Wittingham. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmen Paniagua, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Carmen Paniagua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmen Paniagua in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Moreira saved Lisburn Distillery F.C. from getting behind. Jefferson Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's Song Peng Han got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tirant lo Blanch's zone, Eddie Wittingham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamal Pahlevi came out of the goal and Eddie Wittingham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kamal Pahlevi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinnie Talbot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmen Paniagua in the 90th minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tirant lo Blanch's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
